IAS President and Founder, Diane White, was a “first-generation” community college student at American River College, who transferred to University of California Davis where she earned her Bachelor and Master degrees and eventually became a tenured community college faculty member and leader. Today, she is a passionate supporter of California community colleges, which she knows first-hand empower students to achieve their dreams and contribute to California’s economic and social vibrancy. 

Diane brings over thirty years of experience in higher education, including award-winning community college teaching, administration, and an array of leadership and consultative positions, which provide her with expertise in:

• instructional curriculum and programs; student support and success programs; enrollment management; accreditation; shared governance; and collective bargaining;
• strategic and comprehensive master planning that aligns institutional goals and objectives and successfully integrates academic, student support, technology and facility plans; and,
• building highly functional teams and partnerships with college and community stakeholders to find practical solutions to challenges, build positive relationships, and complete successful projects.
